How to get to Big Bear Lake, California
From Los Angeles
Take Interstate 10 East to the Running Springs Hwy 210 exit. Follow Hwy 210 North to Hwy 330 North (Mountain Resorts) to Hwy 18. Follow Hwy 18 across the Big Bear Dam toward Big Bear Lake into Boulder Bay.
From Orange County
Take the 91 East (or the 55 North to the 91 East), to the 215 North, to the 210 freeway, to Hwy. 330 / Mtn. Resorts. Hwy. 330 goes through Running Springs and turns into Hwy. 18. Follow Hwy. 18 East and turn right across the Big Bear Lake dam toward Big Bear Lake into Boulder Bay.
From the Los Angeles and San Fernando Valleys:
Take the 210 Freeway East past the 215. Get off at Hwy 330 North (Mountain Resorts) and follow it up the mountain to Hwy 18. Follow Hwy 18 across the Big Bear Dam toward Big Bear Lake into Boulder Bay.
Alternate Route From the Los Angeles an San Fernando Valleys:
Take the 210 Freeway East or Interstate 10 East to Interstate 15 North. Follow the 15 North over the Cajon Pass towards Victorville and take the Bear Valley Road exit. Turn right (East) at Hwy 18 through the Lucerne Valley. Hwy 18 will take you into the Big Bear Valley. Follow this road along the North Shore of Big Bear Lake traveling west toward the Dam. Turn left across the Bridge/Dam toward Big Bear Lake and into Boulder Bay.
From San Diego County
Take Interstate 15 North, to the 215 North, stay on the 215 North through the 60 / 215 merger, to Interstate 10 East, to the 210 freeway, to Hwy. 330 East to Mtn. Resorts, which will take you up into the mountains. Hwy. 330 goes through Running Springs and turns into Hwy. 18. Follow Hwy. 18 East and turn right across the Big Bear Lake dam toward Big Bear Lake into Boulder Bay.
From Las Vegas
Take Interstate 15 South to Barstow. Take the 247 to Big Bear exit to Lucerne Valley. Take a left onto Hwy 18. After you get into the Big Bear Valley, turn left (south) onto Division Blvd. Turn right on Big Bear Blvd and proceed through town (passing the 2 markets, Kmart, and the IHOP -about 6 miles). Continue on Big Bear Blvd past Pine Knot Blve until you come to the stop light at Paine Road (Chevron Station). Turn Right at the light continuing on Big Bear Blvd. Watch for the deserted drive-in movie just past the Big Bear Civic Center on your left. The next right is Cienega.(see map and cabin directions bottom of page)
From Palm Springs
Take Interstate 10 West to the Running Springs Hwy 210 exit in Redlands. Follow Hwy 210 to Hwy 330 (Mountain Resorts) to Hwy 18. Follow Hwy 18 across the Big Bear Dam toward Big Bear Lake into Boulder Bay.
Alternate Route from Interstate 10
Take Interstate 10 East to Alabama Street North in Redlands. Follow north to Lugonia St. Turn right (East) on Lugonia and follow it all the way up the Mountain (Highway 38). Once in Big Bear, Hwy 38 "T"s into Big Bear Boulevard (Hwy 18). Turn Left (West) and follow Big Bear Blvd through town and out to Boulder Bay in the West end of the Valley.

NOTE:* The old 30 Freeway (Highland freeway) is now the newly extended 210 Freeway Directions to The Little Lakeview Lodge FROM THE DAM: Once in Boulder Bay, you'll see signs for Boulder Bay Real Estate, Pierre and Blancas Restaurant and The Boulder Bay Market on your left. Go about 1/4 mile further till you see The Block on your right and Cienega Road on you left. Turn Left and follow it around to Chincapin Road. Turn Left, go 2 blocks and then Left again on Echo Lane. The Little Lakeview Lodge is the last house on the left side. FROM THE EAST SIDE OR VILLAGE AREA: Watch for the Big Bear Lake Civic Center/Performing Arts Center on your left. The next Right is Cienega Road. Turn Right and follow it around to Chincapin Road. Turn Left, go 2 blocks and then Left again on Echo Lane. The Little Lakeview Lodge is the last house on the left side. |
