When you drive up to the Little Lakeview Lodge, you are transported to yesteryear. Did I accidentally stumble on the woodcutters cottage from a fairytale? Once in the door, the illusion continues. Rich spruce log adorns the walls, while the barn plank floor arrests your view and draws you to the back deck with its tall pines & lake views. Each bedroom invites you to settle in, read a book, take a nap and dream of simpler times.
It's all an illusion though, as the Little Lakeview Lodge boasts modern features to comfort and care for you. Invisible is the tank-less water heater that will provide endless showers because it never runs out of hot water. The huge kitchen with-a-view boasts granite counters, a granite composite sink, and brand new high-end appliances. This is a cooks cabin complete with food processor, griddle, spice rack, pizza stone, bread machine, crock-pot and more.
If you bring your laptop computer, you will enjoy wireless high-speed internet (WiFi). Your entertainment needs will be satisfied by two TVs, with DVD players. There is Playstation II in the main room and that system has a CD/Stereo Tuner that provides sound for your TV, DVD, and Playstation enjoyment. If that's not enough, there are board games, puzzles and a championship Foosball table to help wile away the hours.

In the Winter, choose from two mountain resorts, Snow Summit, and Bear Mountain, to satisfy your winter sports cravings, less than a ten minute drive away. There are also two sledding hills minutes away, for the less skilled . If you don't feel like cooking, our charming Village is five minutes away by car, providing you fine and casual dining, shopping, five movie screens, plus the almost religious (for some people) Starbucks experience.
In the Summer, it's a short walk to Pleasure Point Marina where powered and unpowered water toys are available for rental. The Bear Mountain Golf Course is minutes away where golfers will enjoy the extra distance in their drives because of our high altitude.
Mountain biking is an extremely popular Summer activity with the resorts offering access to great trails for all skill levels. With 5 marinas plus 2 public launches, fishing and boating are a major part of enjoying Big Bear in the Summer. The Discovery Center on the north shore is a great place to experience all things natural with a concert series in their outdoor amphitheater summer nights that benifit the Forestry Service. There are well marked hiking trails for all levels of hikers, and a walking/bike path that wanders along the lake shore.
*Rates are quoted per night. An additional non-refundable Cleaning Fee of $50.00 and a Refundable Security Deposit of $150.00 are required at time of Booking. If you are bringing a dog, an additional $150.00 Refundable Security Deposit will be required.
*Security Deposits are refundable less any damage or voluntary incidental use charges such as pay-per-view or firewood.
